Back in 2008 American Pitbull Terriers just became legal in the Netherlands, and I was one of the first people to fly to America and import them into Europe. After years of importing, I purchased my first pup, Money from a breeder in Michigan, and was hooked right from the start. I made the long flight to America and picked up my beautiful blue puppy who became my world from that moment forward. Shortly after that, I flew to California, and purchased Smokey, and together Money and Smokey created World’s Finest Pitbull’s. That’s where the story began…and all the new members of WFP through the years is where the story is going!!
The goal of a breeder, when trying to create their version of an ideal pitbully, can be very different than that of an owner. Here at World’s Finest Pitbull’s our desire is to produce pitbullies that not only have the size and WOW factor, but also have correct confirmation and can WIN in the show ring. We breed for correctness on both the front and rear ends. We strive for bully pitbull’s that maintain just the right weight and skin tone. No sloppy saggy lips and skin. We refuse to keep our Xl bullies at heavy weights just to tip the scales. Our pitbully’s here at World’s Finest Pitbull’s are kept in athletic weight, not to thin, not to heavy, just right. We breed for perfect toe angle and perfect teeth. We strive for noses that are just the right size and heads that are just the right width. We do not want our bullies to be extremely tall nor have backs that are to long, but look proportional to their frame. We breed for attitude befitting an active FAMILY DOG. Not to lazy, not to hyper, right in between; the bully pitbull’s that will play ball, hike, run marathons, but also that naps, relax and lounge around with the family. We have the exact image of the bully pitbull we hope to produce one day in our minds, and with trial and error we will get there.
An owner, on the other hand, plans to purchase a pet that fits into their lifestyle, and that of their families. A bully pitbull that they find visually appealing and lovable, as well as capable of keeping pace with their daily busyness. Not all bullies make the cut and the pup that one owner passes up always fits into the home of someone else. Just like people each and every Xl pitbull is unique. The goal is for World’s Finest Pitbull’s to be able to assist an owner in their new purchase by explaining the attributes of both the parents and then giving our advice based on past litters. We can’t always gauge the exact size the pup will grow up to be, but we can get pretty close. We try to match up the perfect pup with the excited new owner with as little stress as possible. We offer the new owner guarantees of health and genetics, and stand behind our contracts 100%. We always suggest the new owner take full advantage of basic obedience training classes offered in their area for their new Xl bully pitbull. A pitbull, like any breed, is only as good as their owner trains them to be.
We realize even in today’s mobile society traveling to pick up a pup and meet the parents is hard to swing, so we offer worldwide shipping to the new owners nearest airport. We have had great success with Delta Pet Safe for several years; they provide climate controlled environments from take off till touchdown. While waiting during lay over’s the pups are kept in climate controlled rooms and given food and water if necessary. We expect the best for our pups, just because they become your family when they arrive doesn’t mean they weren’t ours before they left. Our phones are always on and our doors are always open when it comes to questions about the breed, the registry or just your new pups habits. We ask for updates and photos every chance we get just to stay connected to the fur baby we worked so hard to raise. Here at World’s Finest Pitbull’s we take great pride in what we produce and the relationships we make along the way. We hope to welcome you to our family, if you’re not a member already, and hope to foster a lifetime relationship.
